Meet Julie
Julie Day has directed The Bridge School since 1995, and became its owner in 2004 alongside her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chico State University and spent years teaching at both the preschool and elementary level before focusing all her energy here.
Along the way, she's built parent clubs, a lending library, and a school newsletter, always looking for new ways to bring families closer to what happens here day to day.
Where “Bridge” comes from
The name has always been about bridging, not between subjects, but between respect, responsibility and kindness. It's less about getting kids ready for a test and more about helping them become good people who are curious about the world.

Relationships that last
Some of the families walking through the door today were students here themselves. Julie still keeps in touch with alumni well into adulthood, weddings, graduations, new babies, because for her, this has never just been a preschool. It's a place where relationships stick.
